Solopreneurship 101 - The Most "Boring" Yet Profitable Business In 2025
Dec 15, 2024
The most profitable business in 2021 was running YouTube channels.
The most profitable business in 2022 was exchanging your NFTs.
The most profitable business in 2023 was Amazon FBA model.
The most profitable business in 2024 was running an Agency.
The most profitable business in 2025 is...
Solopreneurship.
Here's the rise in trends for the keyword: "Solopreneur"
Entrepreneur vs. Solopreneur
Let's clarify a misconception before learning how to build your solopreneur business.
"Every Solopreneur is an Entrepreneur, but...
Every Entrepreneur is not a Solopreneur."
As a traditional entrepreneur (a.k.a. Business owner), you must have :
Legal structures
Low profit margins
Established company
An army of employees
An organization with roles
Multiple Business meetings
This leaves very little time for "your personal" life which is the ultimate goal of building a business.
Over the years, intelligent creators have realized the struggles of an entrepreneur and come up with a solution, which is...
Solopreneurship.
One-person Business
No employees
High profit margins
No-Code Tools stack
No people management
Location, time, and mental freedom
Alright. If you are convinced enough by my previous arguments, you are ready to learn how solopreneurship works.
Solopreneurship 101
Solopreneurship (One-Person Business), is a business model where you are the sole creator of a fully functional revenue-generating digital business.
You don't have employees working under you.
You build a business that generates revenue for you.
You use no-code tools to build, run, and manage the entire business.
You might be wondering how ONE person can build a business.
Thanks to the power of the Internet and the leverage of no-code tools, you can build a business as an individual in 2025.
Here are the 4 foundations every solopreneur business is built on :
Content
Connection
Product
Distribution
This is where you take out your notes on the step-by-step guide to build your profitable solopreneur business.
Build An Audience
Content
Content creation is the single most important skill you can learn. You start by building an audience online.
Here's how your ideal follower journey happens :
You create impactful content specific to your readers.
You emulate the best-performing creator's posts to gain attention.
Creating content that impacts a reader gets them interested in you.
Once they get interested, they consume more of your content.
Upon landing on your optimized profile, they are convinced they can learn more from you upon following you.
This is how a "Random person" on the Internet turns into "Your Follower".
Use this approach when you create content on any social media platform to leverage an audience who appreciates "YOU".
Network With People
Connection
Friends and followers are two sides of the same coin.
Your Digital presence is :
"Amplified with your followers, but Established with your friends."
If you're building a business on the Internet sharing content in public, 100 other creators are likely doing the same.
I can guarantee that you can make friends with at least 10 of them.
Once you do this,
Congrats !
You've entered the "SOCIAL" media game.
You can make friends with people you're inspired by (or) working towards the same goal as you in 3 ways :
Comment under their posts with valuable insights
Repost their best content to your audience with added value
DM them with a personalized message to spark the conversation
It's likely most people won't even read or see what you do.
But, once they see the value you're providing to them, they'll feel obligated to do the same, creating a flywheel of friendship to start.
Create A Digital Product
Product
You have an audience. You have friends to talk to.
You are ready to move to the next stage.
Unless you have clients, it's never a "profitable business".
It's time to leverage the trust you build with your audience and friends to help you monetize your business.
You can create content with specific ideas.
Some will get less engagement, some will get more engagement.
Validate this data to find ideas related to the best-performing posts.
Use this as inspiration to create an MVP - The most basic version of a product your followers/ideal client finds useful.
It can be any digital product (has almost 90% profit margins) like :
PDF
Course
E-Book
Template
Newsletter
People love free downloads. But, very few people find them useful.
Build your free version that a person would find useful to solve an everyday problem in their life or business.
This is how you build a group of true fans.
True fans (i.e. clients) who would love to give you money for the value you bring them.
Narrow on a deeper pain point, build a paid version of your free product, and share it with your audience.
It's time to sit back and watch the revenue of the business grow with sales.
Share Your Work
Distribution
Sales isn't the end of the story.
Even with content, connection, and product, your business can self-sustain, but not grow fast.
Sharing the voice of your brand on all social channels and every possible medium of distribution is the key.
This leads to an "Exponential Exposure" to your brand.
Sharing a Twitter post on Linkedin leads to the possibility of driving 2x to 10x the engagement to your business.
This translates to more followers and more clients.
Boring Model
Solopreneurship is the most profitable business in 2025.
But, it's also one of the most "boring" business models you can ever imagine. Especially for beginners...
When you start, you're left on your own.
You build the audience alone. You create products alone. You develop the brand alone.
Because of the nature of freedom, it gives for working as a solopreneur, it also makes it boring to do every day.
This is an issue most solopreneurs don't express well on the Internet.
Consistency to work on your business every day tires most beginners.
I have been building my brand for the last 1.5 years on X/Twitter only to grow to a small following of 250+.
It's my consistent efforts that are to be questioned here.
If you can show up every day and are interested in building the business consistently, you are off to a great start.
Best Solopreneurs Of 2025
Despite the advantages of this business model, only a small proportion of the creator economy is exploiting this system and rising as the top creators.

Personal Take
This knowledge has accumulated over 2-3 years in my life as I built my business.
I posted 6000+ times, and spent 5-10 hours every day, trying every business model I could to build a profitable business.
I still remember the time I made my first dollar selling my product. It was the BEST feeling ever!
Currently, I'm working on building my website at templaterguy.com. Building a portfolio of websites, systems, and designs.
I know it can be pretty hard to start a business as a solopreneur without any friends or partners to help you along.
If you take that leap of faith and work consistently with growth, you can win.
Power of No-Code
Soloprenership works in combination with the power of the Internet.
Especially by leveraging the power of no-code tools.
You don't need 1000 employees, you only need 10 tools.
I'll publish a new article next week on the role of No-code in running a solopreneur business.
See you next week.
Regards,
Templater Guy.
